6th Age Buddies

9-A has formed a partnership with 6D. Throughout the year we will get together with Mrs. Armstrong's 6th Age class. Today the girls got to meet the "Buddy" they will spend time with all year. Everyone had fun learning about their new friends!






Our Lives as Cave Girls

We have been studying the Stone Age in history. As an accompanying activity the girls each wrote a composition entitled My Life as a Cave Girl. Today a few of the girls dressed the part to share their compositions. We had a lot of fun with this activity!

Purple Friday

Here is our first class picture! On Friday we got to celebrate Purple Friday. Don't the girls look great in their Raven's gear?!


Back to School Glyphs

A glyph is a picture that conveys information about the person who created it. A legend allows the observer to interpret different information displayed on the glyph. Today we made glyphs about school. The glyphs have different color buildings, roofs, and school bells, a different number of windows, and different addresses depending on each student's preferences. For example, a student who prefers reading a book has five windows on her school while a student who prefers writing a story has three windows on her school.
